The Division of Plant Sciences was formed on August 1, 2005, through the consolidation of the former departments of Agronomy, Entomology, Horticulture and Plant Microbiology and Pathology. Programs formerly housed in those departments now reside in the division. The Division of Plant Sciences provides leadership for plant, insect and microbe-based research, education and extension programs in the College.

 one of my most memorable experience in all my college classesâ . this is the only course that combines the science, the art and the business of farm with the social and the cultural paradigm of the real world.  Visiting different farms, different states, exposed us to people and how different people go about solving everyday farming problems. The grazing wedge is a tool for managing forage in grazing systems. It visually represents the quantity of forage dry matter available per acre or hectare at a single point in time. When used over time, it calculates pasture growth rates and cumulative forage production in the grazing system.
